Collision Industry Foundation to donate funds for Japan relief

May 18, 2011

May 18, 2011 — The Collision Industry Foundation (CIF) plans to contribute $1,650 in donations to the American Red Cross for tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

The donations were made at the March Collision Industry Conference (CIC) meeting in New Jersey following a suggestion from industry member Toby Chess.

“It's always heartwarming to see people, even in these hard times, reach out to help others who have lost so much,” said Bill Shaw, president of the CIF board of trustees.

Japan is still recovering from widespread destruction caused by a March 11 earthquake and subsequent tsunami.

The CIF is a charitable foundation dedicated to raising, managing and donating funds while fulfilling philanthropic goals and needs of the collision repair industry and the communities it serves. For more information, go to collisionindustryfoundation.org.
