Central Collision to Support 3M Hire our Heroes Campaign

April 26, 2013

April 26, 2013—Chicago-based Central Collision Center has announced its support of the 3M Hire Our Heroes campaign to help returning military veterans find work in the collision repair industry.

Central Collision is participating in 3M's nationwide campaign that donates funds to the Collision Repair Education Foundation and Operation Comfort based on sales of select 3M products.

Funds donated to the Education Foundation will provide grants and scholarships to help cover tuition, classroom materials, tools and equipment for returning veterans.

The campaign will also raise funds to aid in the purchase, renovation and equipping of a 30,000-square-foot training facility in San Antonio that will serve as the permanent home for Operation Comfort’s AutoMotivation program, which provides occupational and rehabilitative therapies for wounded service members.

“I know first-hand how hard it is to return from service and start a career,” said Mike Caruso, owner of Central Collision and a U.S. military veteran. “I’m grateful 3M has created this opportunity for our industry to help.”
