VehicleOwnersGuide.com announces new parts-purchasing organization

April 25, 2012

April 25,2012— VehicleOwnersGuide.com announced its new collision parts purchasing organization.

The organization is free and open to all collision repair facilities in both the United States and Canada. It has no up-front or annual fees, and it’s designed around marketing rebates rather than parts discounts. No information is shared with third parties, according to a news release_notes.

Collision repairers can be included in the purchasing organization by creating a free CollisionPartsSource.com account. When an estimate is scrubbed on EstimateScrubber.com, the website shows vendor rebate programs in their area. Typical ordering methods are used, whether fax, e-mail or electronic parts ordering systems. Shops can claim rebates by clicking a link when they scrub estimates, according to a news release.

As for dealers, manufacturers and other parts suppliers, they can present rebate programs by creating a supplier account on CollisionPartsSource.com and enrolling as a vendor.

“We decided to create a free parts-purchasing organization that leverages the purchasing power of the 2,500-plus monthly visitors to EstimateScrubber.com and CollisionPartsSource.com,” said Steven Siessman, president of VehicleOwnersGuide.com. “We felt it important to not get in the middle of the rebate process nor act as a middleman collecting and re-distributing rebates to organization members. What we are trying to do is provide an efficient IT infrastructure where collision repairers can consolidate their purchasing power, and suppliers can reduce their marketing costs by efficiently presenting rebate programs to a large group of collision repairers. The purchasing organization is not a co-op or member-owned organization, but a service that makes supplier rebate information available to collision repairers, and allows repairers to consolidate their purchasing power through inclusion in the group.”
