Jan. 23, 2014—Abaris Training of Reno, Nev., recently introduced a new course titled “Advanced Composite Automotive Structural Repair-2,” (course code R-14), a five-day, hands-on intensive workshop designed to teach the fundamentals of carbon fiber reinforced plastics composite repair.
The course, offered July 21–25 and Nov. 10–14, will introduce specific materials, methods and techniques employed by the automotive industry.
It’s also a follow-up to the “Advanced Composite Structures: Fabrication & Damage Repair-Phase 1”(course code R-1). This course is a prerequisite to the new, and contains newly added curriculum designed to highlight materials and methods currently used by automotive manufacturers in producing high-rate carbon fiber reinforced plastics structures.
The prerequisite course runs monthly at the Reno, Nev., facility, the same location at which the second class is taught.
Both courses are designed for engineers and technicians from OEMs, dealerships, auto body repair shops, and various other peripheral organizations.
Abaris also plans to add a third class on the subject.
