I-CAR Adds Live Demo to Adhesive Bonding Course

May 29, 2013

May 29, 2013—I-CAR this week announced it will add a new live demonstration component to its adhesive bonding course (ADH01) starting in June.

I-CAR said its live demonstration courses are designed to provide a more interactive training experience and support increased student engagement in the classroom. This is the third course that I-CAR has introduced over the last year that features the live demonstration format.

The live demonstrations in ADH01 will teach students how to properly prepare parts and use adhesive bonding materials. Students will learn about adhesive bonding attachment processes, two-part adhesive bonding repairs and one-part adhesive bonding repairs.

“The demonstrations in the course simulate adhesive bonding procedures using two-part adhesives and will present the steps for an adhesive that is applied to bare metal, as well as the steps for an adhesive that requires a primed mating surface,” said David Wolf, instructional designer for I-CAR. “Students can anticipate a thorough learning experience that touches on important aspects ranging from work and handling time to using adhesives for weld bonding and rivet bonding. This course will benefit a wide range of collision industry professionals, both new technicians and veterans alike.”

The live demonstration format of ADH01 will debut June 24.
