Dec. 21, 2011

Dec. 21, 2011—Insurance Auto Auctions Inc. (IAA), a live and online salvage auto auction company, recently launched a free Apple and Android app that allows users to remotely bid during the organization’s auctions.

IAA said app users are able to manage their vehicle watch list, pre-bid on vehicles and receive notifications throughout an auction. Users can search through IAA’s vehicle inventory, or browse through specific auction run lists. The app’s dashboard provides users with an overview of their account and direct links to all vehicles.

Westchester, Ill.-based IAA operates nearly 160 auction facilities throughout North America. The organization said it has sold millions of vehicles through its weekly auctions since 1982. IAA’s global buyer base consists of automotive body shops, rebuilders, used car dealers, automotive wholesalers, exporters, dismantlers, recyclers, brokers and the general public.
