Oct. 29, 2013

Oct. 29, 2013—Garmat USA announced Tuesday the winners of its 2013 Sharp Shooter Contest, which recognizes quality paint technicians who use Garmat equipment.

Miguel Villalobos of Van Collision in Scottsdale, Ariz., took top honors, winning a trip for two the the 2013 SEMA Show.

"I am very pleased with the results I obtain by using the Garmat equipment—cleaner paint and faster dry time—but [most] important to me is the fact that at the end of the day I can go home with healthy and strong lungs to hug to my family,” Villalobos said.

Villalobos will be recognized at the Garmat booth (No. 10729) on Nov. 6 at 11:30 a.m.

Villalobos and top finalist John Michaels also received a SATA 4000B HVLP Camo Paint Gun.

Each of the five finalists received a pair of Samsung Galaxy Wi-Fi tablets, one for the tech and body shop owner.

The top-five finalists were:

  • John Michaels of Sheboygan Chevrolet Collision Center, Wis.
  • Juan (Carlos) Gonzalez of Park Place Bodywerks, Texas
  • Jeff Spicer of The Big Lot Body Shop in Reliable Chevrolet, Mo.
  • Neil Snyder of Global Imports (BMW/MINI)
