Oct. 9, 2012 — State Farm’s controversial new deal with PartsTrader will highlight the issues discussed at the annual meeting of the New Jersey chapter of the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers on Thursday.
Held at the Holiday Inn in Clark, N.J., the meeting will feature a guest presentation by Society of Collision Repair Specialists executive director Aaron Schulenburg, who will offer his personal insights on the issue based on an extensive investigation on behalf of his association.
“We simply want to have open and honest communication about what has been said and seen in national meetings, and in the test markets,” Schulenburg said in a release_notes through AASP/NJ. “We believe the skepticism is healthy and warranted for our industry, and hope that the exchange of information helps repair facilities digest the information and make informed business decisions if and when they are faced with them in their market.”
Also on the agenda is the recent passing of Right to Repair legislation in Massachusetts and what that may mean for New Jersey repairers.
