ATI to offer collision industry training

Oct. 3, 2012

Oct. 3, 2012—The Automotive Training Institute (ATI), a provider of automotive business training, coaching and consulting, will expand its service offering into the collision repair industry.

“For nearly 30 years, ATI has been helping thousands of automotive repair shop owners increase their profits, reduce stress and grow their businesses into the companies of their dreams,” said Chris Frederick of ATI. “We recognize that collision repair business owners can benefit from our experience and expertise in business training, coaching and consulting services to improve their businesses in this highly competitive market.”

Frederick said ATI has appointed Tom McGee as director of ATI Collision. McGee will lead the development and introduction of the organization’s collision training program.

McGee has more than 30 years of experience in the collision industry, ATI said. He most recently served as collision industry relations manager for ALLDATA. McGee also served I-CAR for nearly 18 years in several positions, including technical director, president and CEO.

McGee, an ASE-certified master auto body and paint technician and collision repair estimator, was elected into the Collision Industry Hall of Eagles in 2001.

“I am very excited to join the ATI team,” McGee said. “As the collision industry continues to evolve and face new challenges, the ATI programs provide collision repair businesses with the training, coaching and consulting that will help them be highly successful in a constantly changing environment.”
