Chrysler Approves PPG Clearcoats

Dec. 4, 2013—PPG Automotive Refinish announced Tuesday that three of its clearcoat products have been approved by Chrysler Group LLC for warranty repairs on all Chrysler vehicles.

The approved clearcoats are:

  • Envirobase High Performance EC800 Ultra Fast 2.1 Clearcoat
  • Deltron DC2000 Ultra Velocity Clearcoat
  • Nexa Autocolor P190-6800 HS Express Clearcoat

In a press release_notes, PPG said it promises four things from its tested product: quick drying, no flash time between coats, no baking, and the ability to polish within approximately 30 minutes of application.
