April 1, 2011

April 1, 2011 — Honda Motor Co. plans to resume limited production of finished vehicles and parts at all of its Japanese plants by April 11, the company announced Thursday.

Slated to reopen by that date are the Sayama Plant at Saitama Factory (in Sayama, Saitama) and the Suzuka Factory (in Suzuka, Mie).

Vehicle and parts production will resume at 50 percent at the outset, as the parts supply situation remains fluid, Honda said. The company plans to carefully monitor the situation and manage its operations accordingly moving forward.
