Guidepoint Systems Adds Former Chrysler Exec as Member

Sept. 19, 2013— Guidepoint Systems, a provider of technology, development and human services to OEMs and the aftermarket, announced it has appointed George Wilkins to serve on its board of advisors.

The appointment brings the total number of board members to eight, including founder and CEO Rand Mueller, and longtime appointees Joe Belz and Mike O’Brien.

Wilkins has an extensive background in academic and automotive industry careers. He has served as chairman of the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) and spent 17 years with Chrysler in various executive-level positions.

Wilkins has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering as well as two master’s degrees in chemical engineering and economics and finance.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Wilkins to the Guidepoint advisory board,” said Mueller. “We are actively working to leverage our know-how into new products and services to enhance the driving experience, from integration and product architecture all the way to the user experience. Dr. Wilkins’ extensive background in component manufacturing, engineering, acquisitions and divestitures is a key component to our continued evolution.”
