Charley Hutton added to SCRS’ attractions at SEMA

Sept. 8, 2011

Sept. 8, 2011—The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) on Thursday announced it will host a live discussion with Charley Hutton, who is regarded as one of the most popular painters in the custom car world, during the 2011 SEMA Show.

The discussion will be held Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. in the North Hall on the Collision Repair & Refinish section stage. The discussion will include an onstage interview and question and answer session.

Hutton has produced many automotive refinishing projects over his career, and has garnered a number of prominent honors as a result, according to the SCRS. His projects have been recognized with two Ridler Awards, presented by Autorama, a premier customer car show. Hutton has won several Street Rod of the Year and Custom Rod of the Year awards, and has received America's Most Beautiful Roadster award.

Hutton has also appeared on several TV shows including the Discovery Channel's "American Hot Rod" show, the Learning Channel's, "Overhaulin’” show, and Hot Rod TV.

"We have to thank our friends and supporters from PPG who were instrumental in helping SCRS arrange to add such a high profile personality like Charley Hutton to the great lineup we are assembling for the SEMA Show," said Aaron Clark, chairman of the SCRS. "Charley is of great interest and relevance to the collision repair audience, as someone who started off in this business like so many of the custom painters and fabricators did.”

The 2011 SEMA Show is set for Nov. 1-4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. For more information, visit SEMAshow.com.
