Registration open for I-CAR Industry Event, keynote announced

April 25, 2011

April 25, 2011 — Registration is now open for this year’s I-CAR Industry Event, scheduled July 19-21 in Salt Lake City, I-CAR announced Monday.

I-CAR also introduced the event’s keynote speaker, Peter Senge, a senior lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and author of “The Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of The Learning Organization.” Senge will discuss the importance of today’s business world and how organizations can help people work productively toward common goals, according to I-CAR. He will highlight the event’s theme: Technology & Education—Achieving New Heights.

Senge was named among the top 20 most influential business thinkers by the Wall Street Journal. The Journal of Business Strategy, The Financial Times and Business Week have also recognized him for his achievements.

“I-CAR is pleased to have Dr. Senge as its keynote speaker at the 2011 I-CAR Industry Event,” said John Van Alstyne, I-CAR CEO and president. “Understanding how businesses and organizations can maximize their potential through education and training can help to develop strategies that foster a more efficient work place, which is a common goal among many organizations.”

Van Alstyne said I-CAR would also make an announcement at the event regarding training for career and technical schools and colleges, share information on the I-CAR Professional Development Program and new training opportunities, and discuss plans for the rest of the year. Participants will also be able to attend tech clinics run by Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Early bird registration is $195 and is available through May 31. The cost is $245 from June 1-July 8. For more information on the event, go to i-car.com.
