VeriFacts, AirbagSolutions to Offer New Restraint System Clinics

May 10, 2013

May 10, 2013—Collision repair education organization VeriFacts Academy has partnered with AirbagSolutions to create three new educational clinics on vehicle restraint systems.

VeriFacts Academy said the clinics are designed to provide technicians, damage assessors and shop managers with an understanding of how vehicle restraint systems work, and the skills necessary for complete and safe repairs of those components.

The newly developed restraint systems clinics include the following:

– Understanding Restraint Systems (URS): VeriFacts said this clinic provides a complete overview of restraint systems. It outlines how restraint systems work, the components involved, and what it takes to service them properly.

– Restraint Systems Damage Assessment (RSDA): This clinic provides an overview of the parts, information, labor functions and repair procedures necessary to write a more accurate vehicle damage assessment, and how to assess a restraint system repair after a deployment.

– Servicing Supplemental Restraint Systems (SSRS): This clinic details the steps involved for servicing restraint systems after a deployment, or if there is a fault in the system.

VeriFacts said all three of the restraint systems clinics are now available through VeriFacts Academy for $29 each.

“These clinics are very timely. The worldwide recall of airbags demonstrates the importance of safe installation and repair of safety restraint systems,” said Farzam Afshar, CEO of VeriFacts. “I am glad that we were able to work with AirbagSolutions and create these comprehensive clinics that will ensure the correct repair of restraint systems by trained technicians."
