New Additions

FenderBender welcomes new columnist, staff writer

You’ll notice a couple of new names in the pages of this issue. It’s a testament to this publication’s continued growth and evolution that they’re there and it’s my hope that these new additions will enhance FenderBender’s ability to bring you business-building content month after month.

First, I’d like to introduce our new columnist, Kevin Rains. Some of you might already know him. He’s the owner of Center City Collision in Cincinnati, the business that he grew 800 percent during the last nine years. Rains has valuable insights to share in all aspects of shop operations, but his real strengths are in marketing and leadership. He works as a marketing consultant on the side and maintains a website called Body Shop 2.0 (bodyshopmarketingplan.com) that’s full of valuable tips.

Marketing and leadership will be the focus of his column, Shop Growth, which starts this month. Rains is the second columnist to join us in the last year and we are excited to be in a position to bring him on.

The second individual I’d like to introduce is Peter Funk, our new staff writer. Funk is going to be our primary shop profile writer and he’ll be taking on some of the other features as well. So if you get a call from someone named Funk in the near future, yes, he’s with us, and he’s calling because your shop might make for a good story.

I’ve been lucky to work for an organization that has grown since the day I started. And it feels good to spend my days working toward making your business grow as well. We’ve got some exciting new features planned for the magazine this year and we’re always looking for ways to step up our service to you. If you have any feedback you’d like to share or stories to pitch, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
