Gerber Opens New Georgia Shop

Oct. 11, 2013—The Boyd Group Inc. recently announced the opening of a new Gerber Collision & Glass facility in Douglasville, Georgia, located approximately 20 miles west of Atlanta. The addition brings the company’s total to 214 repair centers the U.S.

The repair center is approximately 29,500 square feet. It was previously operated as Lamar's Main Street Collision Center.

"This new center is located on the very active corner of U.S. Highway 78 and State Route 92, and will allow us to further expand our reach to new and existing clients," said Tim O'Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "This acquisition increases our footprint in Georgia.”

The Body Group operates under the trade names Gerber Collision & Glass, Autocrafters Collision Repair and Hansen Collision and Glass.
