Sherwin-Williams to Become Official Automotive Paint of NASCAR

Nov. 7, 2013

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 7, 2013—Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes announced Wednesday that it will become the official automotive paint of NASCAR effective Jan. 1.

The announcement was made by Adam Chafe, vice president of marketing at Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, and Greg Biffle, a 15-time NASCAR Sprint Cup winning driver, at Sherwin-Williams’ SEMA Show booth.

In May 2013, Sherwin-Williams signed a multi-year partnership designating the company as the official paint of NASCAR.

Sherwin said it hopes to leverage the recent designation to ignite the passion of its customers and further expand visibility.

“We're extremely excited and honored to become the 'Official Automotive Paint of NASCAR,’” said Chafe. “In fact, more than a dozen NASCAR teams currently use Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. We aim to help teams cross the finish line and ensure that their cars and sponsors always look good on the track; that also holds true with every repair and repaint our customers provide."
