Copart opens fifth Georgia facility

Sept. 1, 2011—Copart Inc. on Wednesday announced the opening of a 77-acre facility in Ellenwood, Ga. near Atlanta.

The new location is Copart’s fifth facility in Georgia. The company now has 154 facilities worldwide.

“Atlanta is a major market, and our new facility in Ellenwood provides additional capacity to more efficiently cover the region as demand for our services grows,” said Vincent Mitz, president of Copart.

Copart provides vehicle sellers with remarketing services to process and sell salvage and clean title vehicles to dealers, dismantlers, rebuilders and exporters. Copart sells vehicles on behalf of insurance companies, banks, finance companies, fleet operators, dealers and car dealerships. The company operates facilities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
