uParts Surpasses 100k Repair Estimates

Oct. 18, 2013

Oct. 18, 2013—uParts Inc., an independent provider of cloud-based parts procurement solutions to the collision repair industry, announced recently that it has exceeded 100,000 repair estimates processed on its network.

uParts offers a complete online solution for connecting shops with their suppliers for order processing, status updates, communications and more.

“As an early adopter to this solution, we have the opportunity to take cost out of the system, to be more competitive and to be the high-quality, low-cost repair provider,” Erick Bickett, founder and CEO of Fix Auto USA, said in a statement from uParts “I think the right procurement solution can squeeze a day and [a] half to maybe even two days out of average cycle time.”

A feature of the uParts system allows shops to automatically and objectively measure performance of “all phases of the procurement process,” the release_notes stated. This allows shops and suppliers to make decisions based on actual performance over time rather than anecdotal evidence or rely on personal biases.

uParts is open to all shops and suppliers, and there is no cost to shops that participate.
