March 25, 2011 — The Martin Senour Company recently donated $14,000 worth of waterborne equipment to Eastside Technical Center of Lexington, Ky., through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.
The school noted its need for the equipment in its application for the foundation’s 2010 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover grant. The donated products include a Martin Senour Vortex mix system, a Prospector color reference tool and other equipment. The updated technology should benefit current and future students, the foundation said.
Tim Trusty and Buddy Griffin, both collision repair instructors at the school, said the equipment and help from Martin Senour representative Ray Stephens will allow them to teach the most up-to-date technology in paint matching and color mixing.
“At Martin Senour, we’re proud to be able to assist them in this important endeavor,” said Jeff Green, director of sales for Martin Senour. “We’re excited that the students of Eastside Technical Center will have the opportunity to learn and train on Martin Senour’s latest waterborne technologies as they prepare to become the collision repair experts of tomorrow.”
