Oct. 28, 2011—The Collision Industry Conference’s (CIC) Repair Standards Advisory Committee, formed to assess standards in the United States’ collision repair industry, on Thursday announced it has concluded the industry research phase of the feasibility study for standards.

The Repair Standards Advisory Committee is currently analyzing the research and developing a comprehensive report, which will be delivered to the CIC early in 2012.

The Repair Standards Advisory Committee will present an overview of its work at the CIC’s next meeting, which will be held Nov. 2-3 at the Las Vegas Hilton in conjunction with the 2011 SEMA Show. The committee’s update will be presented on the second day of the meetings.

"The industry support for this feasibility study has been very strong," said Michael Quinn, chair of CIC and co-chair of the Repair Standards Advisory Committee. "The CIC has had a long history of promoting new ideas and supporting the advancement of the collective collision industry. The work on the feasibility study for establishing repair standards is the latest in a long line of accomplishments for the conference."
