Nov. 5, 2010—The DuPont Performance Services program is now offering the Lean Learning Academy, according to a DuPont press release.
The Lean Learning Academy is a three-part, three-day series designed for shops interested in a lean process. The courses are offered at a shop that has already implemented lean and covers:
• Administrative process flow;
• Production process flow;
• Pull production and continuous improvement.
The shops currently hosting the lean series are: The Body Shop@ in Pittsburgh, and Marshall Auto Body in Milwaukee.
“When designing the DPS Learning Academy–Lean Series, we were cognizant of the 97 percent lean implementation failure rate in the industry, therefore we built our curriculum around the lean transformation (Kaikaku) model,” said Steve Trapp, collision services development manager. “A key to our approach is the weekly consulting sessions between the academy workshops to help keep the repair center on track with their unique implementation plan.”
