May 30, 2012—Auto insurance claims software provider Solera Holdings Inc. has acquired Actual Systems, a global provider of parts recycling yard management systems that are sold under the Pinnacle brand name.

Solera said the Pinnacle brand software applications are used by parts recycling yard operators to manage their daily operations and trade recycled parts. Actual Systems has expanded use of the applications beyond North America into countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, Netherlands, Ireland and Spain.

"Acquiring Actual Systems forms another leg of the strategic parts platform we are developing in North America," said Tony Aquila, founder, chairman and CEO of Solera. "Further, the acquisition provides us with additional opportunities to create value for our clients and increase revenue per transaction for Solera operating entities outside of North America, especially as more countries embrace green parts recycling alternatives and engage in cross-border parts trading."

Solera currently provides software and services to the auto insurance claims processing industry in more than 60 countries. Solera companies include Audatex, Informex, Sidexa, ABZ, Market Scan, HPI, Hollander, AUTOonline, IMS and Explore.
