May 14, 2013—AudaExplore on Tuesday announced the availability of Audatex Estimating version 7.0, which the company said offers several data enhancements and compatibilities with new operating systems and browsers.
AudaExplore said its estimating software is now optimized for use with Windows 8 tablet computers. The new version allows appraisers and collision repair shop personnel to manipulate 3-D vehicle graphics to create accurate repair estimates from anywhere.
The Windows 8 functionality also offers color-coded parts and substrate materials, AudaVIN vehicle identification technology, and integrated access to AudaExplore's vehicle-specific database.
AudaExplore said existing users of Audatex Estimating will be automatically upgraded to Audatex Estimating 7.0.
"Utilizing the advanced technology of Microsoft Windows 8 combined with Audatex Estimating's tablet-optimized 3-D vehicle and parts graphics allows users to swipe-to-rotate, pinch-to-zoom and tap-to-select parts—capabilities available only to Audatex Estimating users," said Wolfgang Ahrens, managing director of AudaExplore. "With support for Windows 8 tablets, along with other mobile, self-service and advanced technologies we've introduced to the market, AudaExplore is keeping the professionals we serve ahead of the technology curve so that they can deliver the fastest claims outcomes and best possible experience to their vehicle owner customers.”
