March 12, 2012—LKQ Corp. on Monday announced the appointment of Blythe McGarvie to its board of directors.
LKQ said McGarvie’s term on the company’s board of directors began March 5.
McGarvie has served as founder and CEO of Leadership for International Finance since 2003, where she conducts strategic reviews and leadership seminars for improved decision-making for corporate and academic groups, according to LKQ.
McGarvie previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of BIC Group, a publicly traded consumer goods company with operations in 36 countries, from 1999-2002. She also served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of fortune 500 retailer Hannaford Bros. Co. from 1994-1999.
McGarvie, who holds a professional director certification from the American College of Corporate Directors, currently serves on the board of directors for Viacom Inc., a global entertainment content company, and Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.
