Shellie Andrews appointed to WIN board

Feb. 16, 2011

Feb. 16, 2011 — Shellie Andrews, operations manager for Dana’s Collision Center in Canada, is the newest member of the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) board.

She was appointed to fill a vacated seat previously held by Lillian Maimone, who stepped down for personal reasons. Andrews will finish Maimone’s two-year term and be eligible for re-election afterward.

WIN Chairwoman Kim White thanked Maimone in a prepared statement and welcomed Andrews, noting that Andrews would improve the organization’s Canadian representation.

“She has already been a great asset to the organization with her efforts on our program development committee and I know she will continue to be a great asset on the board,” White said.

Andrews’ parents opened Dana’s Collision Center in New Brunswick, Canada, in 1987. She started out mixing paint and washing cars there, and worked her way to her current position. She has been involved with WIN for several years.

“I have met many wonderful women and made many new friends, thanks to my involvement with WIN,” Andrews said. “I was honored to be asked to fill the vacancy on the WIN board and join such a talented and diverse group of women. I am looking forward to contributing to the future growth of WIN.”

WIN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging, developing and cultivating opportunities to attract women to collision repair, while recognizing and promoting leadership and excellence in the industry. For more information, visit womensindustrynetwork.com.
