I-CAR Adds Panelists to Technology Conference

June 27, 2013—I-CAR has added seven panelists to its Technology Conference lineup, to be held July 24-25 in Boston.

The panelists will discuss the implications of new vehicle technology on the repair process.

The panelists include:
-Randy Stabler, president, Pride Collision Centers
-Gary Wano, Jr., executive vice president, G.W. Wano & Son Auto Body
-Mark Allen, collision program & equipment specialist, Audi of America
-James Spears, assistant vice president, Loss Center of Excellence, USAA
-Richard Perry, global repair product manager, Chief Automotive Technologies
-Mark Woirol, senior manager, Tech‐Cor Applied Research and Collision Repair Center
-Jason Bartanen, technical director, I-CAR

The panelists will follow keynote speakers Reginald R. Modlin, the director of regulatory affairs for Chrysler Group, and Lawrence Geise, the vice president of automobile frame design, research and testing for Honda.

On July 24, the following technical leaders will present on various topics, including regulation, integrated vehicle safety systems and autonomous vehicles.

The speakers include:
-Nathaniel Beuse, associate administrator for vehicle safety research, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
-David Zuby, chief research officer, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)
-Dr. Kay Stepper, director, driver assistance systems, chassis systems control, Robert Bosch LLC
-Richard Wallace, director, transportation systems analysis, Center for Automotive Research (CAR)
