June 27, 2012—Mitchell International’s Lapping for Leukemia racing team will participate in the 24 Hours of LeMons race June 30-July 1 at the Buttonwillow Raceway Park.
The 24 Hours of LeMons race is a 24-hour trial of endurance for cars valued at less than $500, Mitchell said. Mitchell’s racing team—which includes Beau Sullivan, Lee Phillippi, David Meadow, John Foster, Michael Carteron and Brian Bragg—will complete as many laps as possible in a 1979 BMW 528i to drive financial donations in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
"The 24 Hours of LeMons race is an exciting way for us to help build awareness and support for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in honor of all the children who bravely battle these devastating cancers,” said Beau Sullivan, senior director of user experience for Mitchell. “We are all thrilled to be a part of this effort and appreciate any donations to the cause.”
Mitchell said donations to help its Lapping for Leukemia racing team raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society can be made online. For additional details about the race, visit 24hoursoflemons.com.
