Mitchell International launches total loss vehicle valuation product

April 13, 2010

April 13, 2010—Mitchell International Inc. announced the release_notes of WorkCenter Total Loss 4.0, a total loss vehicle valuation product.

WorkCenter Total Loss 4.0 presents detailed vehicle equipment descriptions, similar to data contained in a build sheet, and in the same terminology used by manufacturers, according to Mitchell.

WorkCenter Total Loss 4.0 allows manufacturer standard equipment to display automatically through the vehicle identification number (VIN) decode. Supplying an easily understood description of vehicle equipment allows carriers to assure policyholders that all the equipment on their total loss vehicle was taken into account for the valuation, according to Mitchell.

WorkCenter Total Loss 4.0 is sourced through Southfield, Mich.-based R. L. Polk & Co., a provider of automotive information and marketing products. The product is available as a web-based application, or as a stand-alone, desktop application.

WorkCenter Total Loss 4.0 streamlines the total loss valuation process by making the most up to date, accurate and trusted vehicle valuation data instantly available to consumers, estimators and insurers, said Jesse Herrera, Mitchell’s senior vice president of product management and marketing.
