Tesla to Furlough Workers

Tesla plans to furlough all of its non-essential workers and implement salary cuts during the coronavirus pandemic.

April 8, 2020—Tesla announced it will furlough non-essential workers and implement salary cuts during a shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak, reported Reuters.

Unless there are significant changes, Tesla said operations would resume May 4.

Pay for salaried Tesla employees will be reduced beginning on April 13 and cuts will remain in place until the end of the second quarter, according to the report.
