Collision Revision gives $20,000 in equipment to Illinois school

March 21, 2011

March 21, 2011 — Collision Revision Auto Body Repair recently donated $20,000 in equipment to Wilco Area Career Center in Romeoville, Ill., through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

The donation included a frame pulling post, spot welders, plasma cutters, a masking machine, a bed lifter, a shredder vacuum, a floor scrubber, four parts carts, an alignment machine and five parts stands. Collision Revision contacted the foundation to find a home for the slightly used equipment and the Illinois school had a need for it.

“The Wilco Area Career Center would like to thank all those at Collision Revision for their generous donation of tools and for all their time,” said Art Coon, instructor of the school’s auto body program. “The equipment not only helped out the auto body program, it also helped out our auto service and welding programs too. Donations such as this help in the training of our students and is a win–win for everybody.”

Brandon Thomas, president of Collision Revision, said he hopes the donation goes a long way toward providing students hands-on experience.

Scott Krueger, executive director of the foundation, said the donation showed the great impact industry members can have on local schools that might not have the budget for equipment.
