Collision Repair Education Foundation seeks board candidates

March 22, 2011

March 22, 2011 — The Collision Repair Education Foundation is looking for industry professionals interested in serving on its board of trustees.

The board is made up of industry members who guide the foundation’s efforts to support secondary and post-secondary collision students throughout the nation. Specific skills being sought include the ability to garner financial and in-kind support, knowledge of writing and awarding grants, experience with investment portfolios or endowment management and understanding needs at schools and colleges.

“The addition of motivated and qualified new Board members is amongst the highest priorities of our Board Recruitment, Development & Succession Committee,” said Doug Webb, the foundation’s board chairman. “Through the Committee’s efforts, the four areas have been identified as particular needs at this time. We welcome interested industry members who believe they can assist the Education Foundation in one of these areas and assist the future of the industry.”

Scott Kruger, the foundation’s executive director, said the board’s governance, along with the generosity of donors, has helped the organization provide more than $3 million in annual support to students and programs.

Board applications are due March 31. Anyone interested in applying should contact Kruger at [email protected] or 847.463.5289.
