LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5, 2019—The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) announced its Best New Products Award winners this morning at the 2019 SEMA Show.

Nearly 3,000 products were entered into the 16 different Showcase categories to be considered for a SEMA New Product Awards this year. Winners were selected based on a variety of factors that included superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality and workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability, and more.

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) won the collision repair and refinish product category for its SCRS Guide to Complete Repair Planning – Blueprint Optimization Tool. The runners-up included GUNIWHEEL for its GUNIWHEEL and Spray Booth Services for its Airflow=Cashflow Remote Spray Booth Monitoring System.

The product announcements wrapped up with a special guest appearance by Jay Leno, host of the "Tonight Show" and star of the television series, Jay Leno's Garage.

Leno says he's excited for the future of the auto industry. He believes one of the largest breakthroughs in the automotive industry is 3D printing. Specifically, for custom build cars and car restoration, 3D printing helps cut down wasted time in finding necessary parts.

He also believes that the auto industry right now is similar to the restaurant industry:it's dictated by the customer's reviews.

"People won't go unless there is an A in the window," Leno says.
