Ford F-150 owners can now opt to have their factory windshields replaced with Corning's Gorilla Glass.

Sept. 24, 2019—Ford F-150 owners can now opt to have their factory windshields replaced with the same glass that makes up the screen on your smartphone, reported CNET.

Hyperformance announced it is partnering with Corning to offer the new Gorilla Glass windshields.

Some manufacturers are offering windshields made out of something more robust than laminated safety glass because it could mean a bigger bill for customers if they get a rock, chip in the glass or damage the glass of a windshield.

The Gorilla Glass option can cost upward of $900, depending on the truck options.
