March 29, 2011 — ALLDATA will provide 97 Boyd Group collision repair centers in the U.S. and Canada with its collision repair information system, the companies announced Monday.
The repair locations, operating under the Boyd Autobody & Glass and Gerber Collision & Glass names, will use the ALLDATA Collision S3500 system as their sole source of collision repair information. The system will allow the repairers to search ALLDATA's database of more than 22,000 engine-specific vehicles. The system provides detailed articles and diagrams for diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We evaluated the options available in the market and selected ALLDATA Collision because of the depth of their product and ease of use," said Tim O'Day, president and chief operating officer of Gerber Collision & Glass. "ALLDATA's OE collision and repair information supports the accomplishment of our mission to wow every customer."
