July 1, 2019—Honda announced on Friday that it will recall 1.6 million more vehicles in the U.S. to replace Takata air bag inflators, according to a report from CNET.
The automaker said it is the final recall for the faulty parts and that it finished its recalls six months ahead of schedule.
Honda aims to replace or account for 22.6 million inflators over the course of the whole initiative. The notifications for the recall will be mailed starting in August.
