I-CAR to introduce new blueprinting course at NACE

Sept. 20, 2012

Sept. 20, 2012—I-CAR will debut a new live training course, Blueprinting Process and Damage Discovery (BLU01), during the Technology Showcase at the 2012 NACE Expo in New Orleans.

I-CAR said its new course provides interactive training that defines the blueprinting process in shops, which improves quality and efficiency through a standardized approach to repair planning. The course demonstrates proper techniques to help students uncover hidden damage that effects the repair process.

“This is the seventh consecutive year that I-CAR will bring the Technology Showcase to NACE, but the first time we have been able to bring an I-CAR class to the show floor,” said Jason Bartanen, technical director for I-CAR. “We believe that this year’s offering will be very valuable to attendees. They will be able to witness firsthand how the blueprinting process can minimize supplements and increase productivity in a collision repair facility.”

Completion of the four-credit course fulfills Gold Class business requirements for non-structural technicians in the new technology knowledge area, I-CAR said. It also fulfills ProLevel 3 training requirements for estimators and auto physical damage appraisers.

I-CAR said it will offer two sessions of the Blueprinting Process and Damage Discovery course at NACE for a special price of $100. The first session is scheduled for Oct. 11 at 10 a.m., and the second session is scheduled for Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. To register for the training, visit naceexpo.com.
