April 26, 2019--Collision repair has evolved into a $43 billion-per-year-industry, and Maaco aims to be at the forefront of the industry, company president Bob Benjamin recently told the media.
Benjamin’s focus has been on customer service, as well as looking at how to continue growing the company. Though Benjamin has been with Maaco for just a year, he has extensive professional experience. After retiring from the Army in 2014, he served as the vice president of operations for Sterling Collision Centers.
Benjamin recently led a teleconference to discuss his outlook for the remainder of 2019. Overall, he wants to focus on customer service, and the quality of work being produced.
According to Benjamin, customers are concerned most with having a kind, warm atmosphere and quality products. In order to regulate and monitor the quality of his stores, Benjamin has rolled out a type of certification program for every store. This program looks at both the technical aspects of the store as well as the people running the store. It will be making sure that each store has the proper equipment and tools, as well as making sure that each person working there has the proper certifications and training.
“This year is going to be fast moving, with a sense of urgency,” Benjamin said.
