Nov. 1, 2013—Matrix System Automotive Finishes is hosting a silent auction during the SEMA Show to benefit the Collision Repair Education Foundation. Custom work from more than 20 automotive artists will be on display throughout the week, beginning Tuesday, at the Matrix System booth, No. 11025.
The weeklong event is part of the Artists 4 Education initiative, which aims to raise money through fundraising activities that involve the expert skills of the automotive industry’s top artists across the country. All proceeds will help support the Education Foundation.
“Our first annual Artists 4 Education campaign has been a huge success,” said David Brunori, president of Quest Automotive Products. “We have reached out to organizations that have benefited for many years from the PBE industry for additional support. It is our responsibility as industry participants to support the Collision Repair Education Foundation. The sole purpose of this endeavor is to raise awareness to the growing shortage of certified technicians entering into the collision repair industry—it is that simple. The automotive artist community has stepped up in a big way and we are humbled by the commitment of these individuals.”
In addition to the auction, Matrix System will host several of the painters at its booth for various demonstrations throughout the show.
