PPG Acquires Global Coatings Manufacturer

PPG announced Friday that it has completed its acquisition of Whitford Worldwide Company, a global manufacturer that specializes in low-friction and nonstick coatings for industrial applications and consumer products.

March 4, 2019—PPG announced Friday that it has completed its acquisition of Whitford Worldwide Company (“Whitford”), a global manufacturer that specializes in low-friction and nonstick coatings for industrial applications and consumer products. 

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Whitford, a privately held company headquartered in Elverson, Penn., was founded in 1969. The company specializes in manufacturing low-friction, wear-resistant coatings for industrial applications in automotive, aerospace, energy and construction products.
