Jan. 7, 2019—Longtime collision repair industry veteran and New Jersey shop owner Lee Vetland passed away on Jan. 1. He was 71 years old.
Vetland owned Lee's Auto Body and Pine Top Service in Avenel, N.J. He was a founder and board member of Auto Body Distributing Co., a member of AASP-NJ, and served as president of the Garden State Automotive Federation, one of the groups that merged to form AASP-NJ nearly 20 years ago.
Vetland was born in Rahway, NJ and resided in Avenel and Colonia his entire life. Away from the auto body industry, he was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed trips to Florida, and watching NASCAR races, according to an obituary at nj.com.
He was predeceased by his parents, Art and Ginny Vetland.
