Feb. 6, 2013—DuPont Performance Coatings recently announced the launch of the IntelliMist spray booth climate control system.

The system is designed for refinish shops in high heat, low humidity desert-like conditions. IntelliMist automatically controls a spray booth during the spray cycle at the optimum level for humidity, and can also be used after the bake cycle to rapidly cool down the booth and panels.

DuPont claims that by optimizing the spray booth climate, waterborne and solvent borne products can be used more efficiently and consistently, and there is a reduced need for specific additives and adjustments.

DuPont says that painter comfort is also greatly enhanced, as painters can work normal shifts in a controlled spray booth climate.
