LAS VEGAS, Oct. 31, 2018—Mitchell International, Inc. announced a milestone for the Mitchell Diagnostics system: 300,000 repair scans have been completed using the industry-leading and patent-pending system. Mitchell also announced significant enhancements to its Freedom Platform, which helps facilitate the proper and safe repair of vehicles.

The Mitchell Diagnostics system was launched in July 2017 and has quickly become an industry leading solution, having now assisted insurer, independent appraiser and collision repair facility users. The Mitchell Diagnostics system is a comprehensive collision repair diagnostics solution, operating on all leading vehicle makes and providing both scanning and diagnostic repair capabilities-without per-vehicle transaction fees.

For repairers, the Mitchell Diagnostics system may be utilized to perform diagnostic repairs in-house, including recalibrations, system resets, and module reprogramming. The recently announced MCS-415 target recalibration system allows repairers to complete target-based recalibrations on many major OEMs, including Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz and others.

Mitchell's Freedom Platform is designed to allow the free flow of repair and claims information among both Mitchell and major third party applications, in order to streamline processing and assist in the delivery of proper and safe repairs.

The Mitchell Diagnostics system was developed in partnership with  vehicle electronics supplier Bosch GmbH and was the first complete solution designed specifically for the collision repair and automotive claims processes.

Through the Freedom platform, the Mitchell Diagnostics system delivers a seamless workflow with:

  •  Mitchell Connect - Integrates with all major estimating, collision repair management, and claims solutions to track the entire claim and repair in the cloud
  • Mitchell RepairCenter - Users can easily combine scan data and reports with repair orders
  • AirPro Diagnostics - Mitchell now integrates AirPro scan scheduling and AirPro reports
