PartsChannel acquires Indianapolis parts distributor

June 5, 2012—PartsChannel Inc. on Tuesday announced its acquisition of Alliance Collision Parts, an Indianapolis-based distributor of automobile collision replacement parts.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"The acquisition complements our presence in the Midwest region, and we will continue to look for strategic growth opportunities that leverage our brand, service and quality," said John Palumbo, CEO of PartsChannel.

Fred Koppold, general manager of Alliance Collision Parts, will continue to serve in the same capacity with PartsChannel. Koppold has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, PartsChannel said.

“We are pleased to welcome Fred and his team to the PartsChannel organization and we look forward to benefiting from their extensive knowledge and industry expertise," said Ray Chen, president of PartsChannel.

PartsChannel is a privately held distributor of collision repair parts. The company’s product lines, which are sold to independent distributors and repair shops throughout the U.S., include bumpers, hoods, fenders, grilles, panels, lights, radiators and condensers.
