Axalta Releases Color Popularity Report for 2013

Jan. 10, 2014—Axalta Coating Systems released its annual “Color Popularity Report” on Thursday, revealing that white and white pearl were the favorites for automobile owners across the globe in 2013.

The two colors were 10 percent more popular than black (solid and effect). Silver, gray and red rounded out the rest of the top spots on the chart.

White was the runaway winner in North America at 26 percent, and was the top color for the seventh consecutive year. Black was second at 20 percent.
