July 24, 2018—According to recent analysis, now, more than ever, the F-Series represents a significant chunk of Ford Motor Company’s business, noted The Motley Fool investing website.

What’s more, the website noted that the F-Series is also extremely important to Ford’s investors. The F-Series of trucks is the most profitable part of Ford’s portfolio, and is on record pace after 14 consecutive months of sales gains—all this while the overall U.S. new-vehicle market plateaus. Through June, sales of the F-Series were 4.1 percent higher than the first half of 2004, the full-size truck’s record year (939,511 pickups sold).

This year, the F-Series alone outsold Ford’s entire car segment by nearly 200,000 units through June. At 451,138 units sold through June, the F-Series has outsold the Silverado and Sierra combined by almost 60,000 units.

According to Ford, the F-Series’ average transaction prices in June reached $46,800, the highest of any full-size pickup manufacturer. Also of note: A Morgan Stanley analyst recently noted to investors that the value of the F-150 franchise may be worth more than 150 percent of Ford’s enterprise value.
