Rome Management launches distribution program for jobbers

May 17, 2011

May 17, 2011 — Rome Management recently rolled out a distribution program aimed at helping paint jobbers stand out from competitors.

The Rome Distributor Program promises paint jobbers distributing Rome Management a 15 to 20 percent increase in paint sales to current customers, according to Rome. Jobbers will also earn a percentage of the monthly billing in their territory.

Tasco Auto Color, a PPG Platinum paint jobber in Texas and Tennessee, was the first company to participate in the distribution program. David Abrahams, president of Tasco, said Rome Management has helped his customers operate more efficiently, reducing their cycle time and improving productivity. It has also given his business a boost.

“Adding Rome Management to our product offerings has increased our presence in the collision center front office which leads to more visibility and increased customer loyalty,” he said.

Rome is a PPG preferred vendor and offers PPG 2-Way Integration with the paint manager mixing system, which allows customers to move the paint formula and pour cost for the repair directly to the Rome repair order.

PF3 Paint Supply, an Akzo Nobel jobber in Michigan, is also a participant in the distribution program. PF3 owner Paul Fus said Rome’s process management system and integration with Akzo Nobel has improved customer productivity. “It’s the perfect partnership—everybody wins,” he said.
